Quite simply the most brilliant musician I have ever met and seen play. Robbie was an amazing teacher with a larger than life personality to match. Robbie was my idol when I was 21, and for me the ultimate blueprint of what being a professional drummer was all about. I'm so glad to have so many special joyous memories of being in his company, laughing and sharing a drink together (the old Tuesday Club down at the Druid's Head and Kingston Mill), listening to his stories and jokes and wishing that some of his incredible talent would rub off on me. I’ll never forget those days.
