I met Robbie when I was just a 16 year old, (1977) and we became friends immediately. I absolutely idolised him as a player and he showed me some great artists and bands. Billy Cobham, Lenny White, Return to Forever, (Romantic Warrior, OMG). I wanted to play like Robbie so I had some lessons off him and he was, without any shadow of a doubt, the best teacher. I watched in awe, his playing Jazz Rock and Fusion and believe him to be one of the greats. I loved him and was honoured to call him my friend and teacher. He is sadly missed but will never be forgotten. RIP mate. jc
